Course Objectives and Goals:

Expose students to the world around them and all of its variety through interactive learning applications.

Classroom Guidelines & Expectations:

·        GOLDEN RULE: COMPLETE SILENCE WHILE A GUEST IS PRESENT IN THE CLASSROOM!

·        Absolutely no food, drinks, candy, or chewing gum in class.

·        Supplies needed for class include: pencil, paper, textbook,

and a folder with pockets.

·        Receive permission to get out of your seat.

·        Writing or marking on classroom desks is not exceptable.

·        Be on time (seated at a desk) before the bell rings.

·        ALWAYS RAISE YOUR HAND BEFORE SPEAKING IN CLASS!

Disciplinary Policy:

Students choosing not to obey classroom expectations will be required to reflect on their classroom behavior by completing a “Behavior Quiz” worksheet (attached) on their own time at home.  Chronic behavior problems will result in a telephone call made by the student to a parent or guardian at home.

Grading Policy:

·        Daily assignments, projects, and exams will be used to assess student progress within the course.

·        Emphasis will be placed on exams to establish a final grade at the end of each nine-week grading period.

·        Borderline grades are determined by preparation and class participation.

·        Reading the chapters and completing the section review questions will enhance the learning and improve test scores.
